Defence Insurance provides legal protection to assist with defending against or pursuing claims involving third parties.
It covers legal fees and court costs for various legal proceedings. This includes costs arising from disputes related to the vessel's operation, though it does not cover the damages themselves. The insurance also covers expenses for defending or pursuing claims in disputes involving Charter Parties, Bills of Lading, sale and purchase contracts, and conflicts with shipyards or suppliers, among others.
